Origin
We started in 2012 in Val André, in the heart of Brittany, when we first met Céline Langlais, Doctor of pharmacy who was at the forefront of developing and creating natural safe cosmetics in accordance with the standards of the French association ECOCERT.
It is in Brittany in the Atlantic waters of the English Channel that unique algae grow that have magical properties so necessary for our skin.
Nature is our ally
Indeed, for millions of years, algae and coastal plants of this particular region of France are constantly in conditions of long ebb in periods between tides.
They are forced to withstand aggressive natural conditions - active sunlight, drought without water, attacks of microorganisms under the scorching rays of the sun.
What the algae of Brittany can do
The algae and coastal plants of this particular region of France have achieved amazing properties:
- retain moisture, being without water for a long time during periods of low tide,
- resist ultraviolet radiation during periods of being under the scorching rays of the sun,
- fight microorganisms that attack them in the sun,
- recover quickly from periods of drought and live normally during periods of high tides.
All these wanderful properties of algae, so necessary for our skin, we lovingly use in our Merbelle cosmetics.
Why Merbelle
We were looking for a name that would reflect our love for the sea and its amazing creatures - algae and coastal plants.
Merbelle is a beautiful sea.
We design and build all our products in our Merbelle laboratory in France, in Dirignon on the west coast, in close collaboration with our French colleagues.
We produce all kinds of face, body and hair care products based on assets developed from algae and coastal plants of the English Channel.
Our products formulation
In our products, we widely use ingredients of natural origin - extracts, essential oils, flower waters, because plant cells are the closest in composition and structure to our skin cells and as part of cosmetics they have the most effective natural effect without causing allergies.
We also create and produce all kinds of detergents for the home as the environment of our habitat and our pets.
Manufacturing
We produce all our Merbelle products in France and Russia in strict accordance with the concept of the safety of our products for human health and the environment.
